Fr.Fabio Ciardi, omi, the Director of Oblate Studies and Research, conducted two retreats; one in Kandy and the other at Madhu where the Oblates from both provinces; Colombo and Jaffna came together. Fr.Preacher took the retreatants ‘back to Galilee- Aix-en-Provence’ to have a close and renewed look at the Oblate Charism and its beginnings. Fr.Ciardi, in addition to his primary purpose of his visit to Sri Lanka: preaching retreats, had another agenda as well – ‘hunting for writers’ – writers who document oblate life and mission locally. Hopefully, Fr.Ciardi will not be disappointed!
