The workshop commenced on 21st Feb. 2022 at Thodarpaham, Main Hall, Jaffna. The founder director of the Trust, Rev. Dr. V. Patrick, OMI inaugurated the session. There were 54 participants from various sectors of governmental and non-governmental organizations. The inaugural programme was chaired by Very Rev. Fr. Eugene Benedict OMI, the Provincial Superior of the province of Jaffna with the Hon. N. Vethanajagan Former Jaffna District Secretary as the Chief Guest and Mrs. Kirisanthini Kamalarajan, the Guest of Honour.

Dr. S. Sivathas psychiatrist, Dr. K. Kajavinthan, Senior Lecturer Dr. Gerald Rosario OMI, Dr. P.Nirmathsu, Reflexology, Mrs. Ambihai Gajendran LL.B , Attorney at Law, Mr. P.R. Jejam Batticaloa, Mrs. Shyamala Ajanthan, NDDCB Jaffna district Coordinator and St. John’s Ambulance Team were the resource persons who effectively contributed regarding personal and social transformation motivating skills development. On Thursday all the participants went for a field work program to Maniamthodam, Jaffna. They expressed the people’s vulnerable life experience and their reasonable expectations to build up a new society freed from substance dependence.
Final Day Programme:
The final day sessions were chaired by Very Rev. Fr. Eugene, the Provincial Superior of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, the Province of Jaffna. The additional Government Agent of Jaffna Mr. Pratheeban was the Chief Guest. Very Rev. Fr. J.P. Jebaratnam, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Jaffna was the Special Guest. Finally, the participants were issued certificates and were sent out as effective social workers to uplift humanity focusing to overcome substance dependency in their respective places.
