The young oblates, under five years in priesthood and under ten years in oblate brotherhood gathered at Thodarpham on January 28, 2019. Rev. Fr. Francis Daniel, OMI, the Sacerdotal Golden Jubiliarian was invited to share his experience with the young oblates. Fr. Provincial requested Fr. Daniel to highlight on “Oblate Priesthood.”
Basing on his experience, Fr. Daniel said that our life and ministry must always flow from our natural personhood. Therefore, our personhood has to be tamed by our prayer life and personal discipline. As Oblates our love for Jesus Christ, the Church and the poor people is to be developed. As Oblates, he said that we need to practice the habit of praying the rosary daily and praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament every day; these will give us the fullest energy for our oblate priestly life and make us holy. After the input from Fr. Daniel, the young Oblates shared about their life and ministry.
