More than 70 Oblates of Mary Immaculate from the Province of Jaffna participated in their Annual Retreat, experiencing a special time of prayer, spiritual reflection, fraternity and missionary renewal, guided by Rev. Fr. Anthony Bochm OMI, Vicar General of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, who travelled from Rome for this significant spiritual gathering.
The Annual Retreat was organized in two groups to enable the Oblates to participate in this important period of spiritual renewal.
The first group participated from 18 to 24 October 2026, while the second group gathered from 25 to 30 October 2026.
Throughout the retreat, the Oblates were invited to deepen their relationship with God, reflect on their religious vocation and rediscover the richness of their Oblate missionary identity. Through prayer, meditation, spiritual conferences and moments of personal reflection, they were encouraged to renew their commitment to Christ and the mission of the Church.
The presence and spiritual guidance of Fr. Anthony Bochm, Vicar General, made this year's retreat particularly meaningful. His visit from Rome offered the Oblates an opportunity for spiritual enrichment, fraternity and a deeper connection with the wider Oblate Congregation.
