In keeping with Oblate Constitution 43, which calls us to keep alive the memory of our deceased and faithfully pray for them, the Oblate Province of Jaffna gathered at the Jaffna Cemetery to remember and pray for the pioneer Oblates who dedicated their lives to serving in Sri Lanka.
Oblate priests, brothers, scholastics and minor seminarians came together in prayer and gratitude, honoring the missionaries whose faith, sacrifices and commitment laid the foundations for the Oblate mission in Sri Lanka.
Their legacy continues to inspire a new generation of Oblates to carry forward the mission of St. Eugene de Mazenod, proclaiming the Gospel and serving the most abandoned.
We remember those who came before us, give thanks for their witness, and continue the mission they entrusted to us.
One Cross. One Mission. One Digital Voice.
